Dreams are Still Tricky Bastards

I was watching television in my bed when I saw a distant clump of alien-looking things floating outside my window and moving towards me . I didn't know what they were, but I noticed they were multi-colored, and stuck together like that, kind of shaped like a human brain. The nearer it got, the more anxious I became. I moved across the room to get further away from it. When light suddenly hit the floating unknown thing, I realized they were balloons tied together, with a note at the bottom. It bumped into a glass pane. I opened my window, eased the whole bunch into my room and pulled at the note.

It read, "I told you I was going to surprise you."

Immediately I looked out. Standing in the middle of the garden was faceless mystery man. He laughed, his shoulders convulsing. I knew he was laughing, faceless as he was, because I felt joy emanating from him.

Then I woke up. It was 3am.

I smiled.

I also realized I had to pee, so I hurried to the bathroom, my heart light as air. Who knew dreams can come bearing gifts?

  10. It's usually at that point in the dream I find a severed body part tied into the balloon bunch somewhere. And the shock wakes me up... peeing myself. Glad to see yours was more pleasant!

  19. Depends on the dream, sometimes they're awesome, scary, and sometimes just plain trippy.

Most of mine are the latter.

  20. I have a hard time remembering my dreams in the cold, logical light of day. Strange, but let my head hit the pillow and the last dream of the night before flashes before my eyes.

Yours was most whimsical and happy once the initial fright was over. Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my post.

  21. Dreams are indeed a gift for us - from our subconscious level. Did you try try to interpret this dream of yours? What did your subconscious try to tell you?

  22. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Who was he? Why was he laughing? What did he mean by surprising you?

Dreams can be so intriguing. I always love to try figuring mine out.
